Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, The Oasis Retreat caught me off guard in the best way possible. You pull up to this three-star property on Saint Albans Drive in Nassau, and while it’s not trying to be something it’s not, there’s this genuine warmth that hits you right away. The staff actually remembers your name after day one — which, you know what, doesn’t happen everywhere. I mean, the fact that they have so many repeat guests tells you something about how people feel when they leave this place. It’s the kind of place where you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you arrive.
Location & Getting Around
The location works really well, especially if you’re planning a romantic getaway — couples seem to absolutely love it here. You’re tucked away enough to feel like you’ve escaped the cruise ship crowds, but Nassau’s main attractions are still totally accessible. What I really appreciated was the free parking right on site. Trust me, if you’ve ever tried to find affordable parking in Nassau, you’ll understand why this matters. It’s one of those practical things that just makes your whole trip smoother. The convenient access to local beaches and dining options is another major plus.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly. The air conditioning actually keeps up with the Bahamian heat, which honestly isn’t always a given at this price point. You get the essentials done right: good water pressure, reliable Wi-Fi, and blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun when you want to sleep in. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Each room is thoughtfully designed for comfort and functionality.
What Makes It Special
Here’s what really sets this place apart — the genuine hospitality. The staff goes out of their way to help with recommendations, and they know the island well enough to point you toward the spots locals actually go to, not just the tourist traps. I ended up at this amazing little seafood place about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise. The property itself has this relaxed, unhurried vibe that lets you actually unwind. You’re not fighting for pool chairs or dealing with overcrowded common areas. This attention to detail makes all the difference.
Why Guests Love It
Look, The Oasis Retreat isn’t going to wow you with elaborate amenities or over-the-top service, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The value is solid, the location works for exploring Nassau, and there’s something to be said for a place where the staff genuinely cares about your experience. The high number of return visitors really says it all — people come back because they feel comfortable here. If you’re looking for a straightforward, well-run place to base your Nassau adventures from, especially as a couple, this hits the sweet spot between quality and affordability. The property represents excellent value for discerning travelers.

Location
It is a nice little cozy corner
Great price for what you get. Breakfast (additional $8.50) was basic, but convenient. Room was great. Shower pressure could be better, as mentioned previously by other guests. Beds were fine. We were there only to sleep and take an early flight so can't really opine on the location other than to say that it was very convenient to get to the airport.
I liked how close it was to certain locations like Arawak Cay
Secure gated property..
