Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Silver Point Villa on Silver Point Drive, I honestly wasn’t expecting much — you know how some places look better in photos? Well, this four-star property actually exceeded what I’d imagined. The villa sits in this prime spot in Freeport that feels both secluded and accessible, which is honestly a rare combination in the Bahamas. There’s something about the way it’s positioned that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem, even though it’s perfectly easy to find.
The Location Magic
I get why couples rate this place so highly — the location really is something special. You’re close enough to Port Lucaya Marketplace that you can walk there for dinner (maybe 15 minutes if you take your time), but far enough away that you don’t hear any of the tourist crowds. The beach access is what sold me though. Instead of fighting for space on Cable Beach with everyone else, you’ve got this quieter stretch where you can actually hear yourself think. Recent guests aren’t wrong when they call this a top location — I mean, you’re getting the best of both worlds without the usual trade-offs.
The Accommodation Experience
My room had this view that I kept coming back to throughout the day — you can see the water from most of the villa, but some angles are definitely better than others. The space feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed beach house than a typical hotel. Everything’s clean and comfortable, though I wouldn’t call it flashy. The kitchen setup is actually useful if you want to grab groceries and make breakfast instead of eating out every meal (which honestly saves you quite a bit in Freeport). Air conditioning works perfectly, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with Bahamian humidity.
Daily Life at the Villa
What I loved about staying here is how easy everything felt. Parking isn’t an issue — you just pull up and you’re done, no circling around looking for spots. The staff knows the area really well, so when I asked about the best snorkeling spots that weren’t overrun with tour groups, they pointed me toward some places I never would have found on my own. Mornings are particularly nice here because you can have your coffee outside without feeling like you’re on display. The whole setup encourages you to slow down a bit, which is exactly what I needed.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve spent a few days here. It’s not trying to be the biggest or most elaborate place in Freeport — instead, it focuses on getting the important things right. The combination of privacy, location, and that genuine Bahamian hospitality creates something that feels authentic rather than manufactured. Couples especially seem to appreciate how the villa strikes this balance between having things to do nearby and having space to just be together. You leave feeling like you actually experienced the Bahamas rather than just visiting another resort.

Guest Reviews
This gated property had all the amenities of being at home. In addition to feeling safe It was very comfortable and cozy with enough indoor/outdoor spaces to do you. There are books and games if you choose to use them. The grounds are beautiful full of foliage with a functional canal in the backyard. The home provided most types of gear for water sports with kayaks and surf boards that could be used in the canal. The beach was across the road: about a city block. Actually, if you forgot a shawl or beach hat there were some available in the closets.
Naprosto úžasné prostředí za vynikající cenu. Prostorné, výborně vybavené.
