Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Sandyport Beach Resort, you immediately get that relaxed Bahamian vibe — it’s not trying too hard to impress, which honestly makes it more appealing. The four-star property sits right in the Sandyport Marina Village area, and I mean right there where you can actually see the boats bobbing in the harbor. The lobby has this breezy, open feel that lets you know you’re somewhere tropical without being overly themed (you know what I mean — no fake palm trees or steel drum music on repeat).
The Perfect Nassau Location
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re technically in Nassau but away from the cruise ship chaos that can overwhelm Cable Beach and downtown. West Bay Street puts you close enough to everything without the constant crowds, and couples especially seem to get this since they rate the location so highly. The marina village setting means you’ve got some decent restaurants within walking distance, plus there’s something really nice about falling asleep to the sound of water lapping against the docks instead of traffic.
Rooms and Comfort
The accommodations strike that sweet spot between comfortable and upscale without feeling stuffy. Most rooms have water views — and I’m talking actual water views, not “if you crane your neck and squint” situations. The decor leans tropical but stays tasteful, with plenty of natural light streaming in during the day. Air conditioning works well (crucial in the Bahamas), and the beds are genuinely comfortable. You’ll find the usual amenities you’d expect from a four-star place, though don’t expect cutting-edge technology in every corner.
Activities and Amenities
What really sets Sandyport Beach Resort apart is how it caters to people who actually want to do things. There’s a tennis court on-site if you’re into that, and fishing arrangements are easy to make — the marina location means charter boats are literally right there. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate having a course within a couple miles, which is pretty convenient when you’re staying somewhere this relaxed. The free parking is honestly a bigger deal than it sounds, especially if you’re planning to explore Nassau and Paradise Island on your own schedule.
Why Guests Love It
The thing about this place is that it delivers on what it promises without overselling itself. Recent guests consistently praise the location, and after staying here, I get why — it’s that rare spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Bahamas while still having resort-style comfort. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience rather than just going through the motions. It’s not the flashiest option in Nassau, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. You’re here for the water, the weather, and that particular kind of Caribbean relaxation that’s hard to find when you’re surrounded by thousands of other tourists.
Best hotels in Nassau blend balmy infinity pools, conch ceviche pop-ups, and cabanas overlooking turquoise shallows.

Guest Reviews
For a hotel with a 3.5 stars rating this resort offers many things among them 3 swimming options : the main beach , the pool and the lagoon an attraction in itself. I stayed in a Canal Suite , lovely room. My full hotel review can be seen here : https://youtu.be/69ul2V6-27M
The staff was very professional, kind and helpful. We loved how quiet, serene the property was, no blaring music. Can walk to restaurants-liked Mi & B's deli and Blue Sail, convenience store-Chippy's and very pretty Bon Vivant for coffee & cocktails, breakfast at News Cafe. Loved the hammocks and having the umbrellas on the lagoon. The property looks like the pictures on the internet-our room seemed to be newly painted, which was nice. We liked having the balcony to sit out on. Can take #10 bus for $1.50 into Nassau. Concierge can help you with excursions. Locals were all very nice and helpful.
The beach was beautiful and quite in January we like this, less people better attention, room was ok, the pillows too high, I got sore neck, very clean and lots of towels excellent, the shower needs to be cleaned better, plus there is not handle into the shower in case an older person falls, my husband had hard time going into the shower, he was afraid to fall . The plastic chairs outside the balcony needs cleaning. Other wise most of the utilities were ok. We had some family with two boys that were very rude in the pool, they were fighting and using profanity language, very rude. Sandyport beach was on the other side of the rd, however the resort beach was perfect for us, private benches, hamacks, . Had everything in the resort, not need to go to another beach .
Great location close to many restaurants
The resort had everything in it. Was super convenient and beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms were all on the beach of a lagoon and very close to the ocean. The staff was very friendly.
Lovely rooms and wonderful pool and beach area which was never crowded and was always lovely quiet and relaxing.
The staff was amazing. Miss Sarah was so helpful. The place was cute, didn't feel like this massive high rise places. Loved the hammocks. The beach and lagoon not the best but great as an option.
I loved the beach and the lagoon, both areas are beautiful and quiet.
Very nice staff, specially Pam who was always there to accommodate and Taj.
The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Any problems we had, staff responded quickly, efficiently, and with kindness.
