Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Riu Palace Paradise Island – Adults Only – All Inclusive, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Caribbean resort. The adults-only policy creates this sophisticated atmosphere that honestly feels refreshing — no kids running around the pool, no family drama at breakfast. It’s a five-star property that actually delivers on the luxury promise, though I’ll be honest, the 7.5 rating suggests it’s not quite perfect. The lobby has this elegant tropical vibe without being over-the-top touristy, which I appreciated.
The Paradise Island Advantage
You know what really sets this place apart? The location on Paradise Island puts you right in the heart of everything without the chaos of downtown Nassau. Casino Drive might sound busy, but it’s actually perfectly positioned — you’re walking distance to Atlantis if you want the action, but tucked away enough for peace when you need it. Couples absolutely love it here (they rate the location 8.7, which honestly makes sense), and I can see why. The island has this exclusive feel, even though you’re connected to Nassau by bridge.
Rooms and Amenities
The room I stayed in was spacious and well-appointed, with that crisp luxury hotel feel you expect from a five-star property. What impressed me most was the attention to detail — quality linens, marble bathroom, and a balcony that actually had a decent view. The spa on-site is worth mentioning too, especially after a day exploring the island. There’s also a fitness center that’s better equipped than most resort gyms, and if you’re into golf, there’s a course within a couple miles that locals actually play on.
All-Inclusive Done Right
The all-inclusive setup here feels more refined than your typical Caribbean buffet situation. Breakfast is a mix of American classics and buffet options — I mean, you’ll find everything from fresh tropical fruit to proper eggs benedict. The restaurant selections throughout the day maintain that same quality level, which isn’t always guaranteed at all-inclusive properties. Plus, there’s free parking on-site, which might seem minor until you realize how much some Paradise Island hotels charge for that privilege.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it strikes that sweet spot between luxury and accessibility. The adults-only policy means you get the romance and relaxation without the family resort chaos, while the Paradise Island location gives you options — stay put and enjoy the resort amenities, or venture out to explore Nassau’s culture and nightlife. The staff genuinely seems to care about the experience, and the property maintains that polished feel throughout. It’s not the flashiest resort on the island, but it’s consistently good at what it does, which is probably why couples keep coming back and rating it so highly for romantic getaways.

Guest Reviews
The staff was amazing. The cleaning staff was outstanding, and they created hearts with towels on our bed every day the food was really good. The entertainment was so much fun.
The staff for great, very nice celebrated New Year’s had fun
The ambience, the staff are nice, the buffet food was really good! Lots of things to do, the pool is heated, the Caplyso lounge was so much fun and the drinks are very good!
Our King suite was spacious and had a fantastic view of the ocean, with the waves crashing down outside of our balcony. it was clean and allowed for us to enjoy the week or so we were at the property. The resort's beach was the best beach on the island, and had more than enough room for all of the guests. Drinks stayed flowing at the beach bar, with friendly staff that were ready to help whenever asked.
We loved being right by the beach, lived watching the volleyball games while in the swim up bar pool. Loved that everyone was so friendly.
The only big advantage of the hotel is its location, right on the beach.
The location is quite good, nice beach, with plenty of space, food was quite good, drinks could be a bit better.
staff was amazing and the beach and location were perfect
Beach is fantastic. View was excellent (suggest a north side room). Bar pool temperature was great. Drinks were not weak. While it was all-inclusive food which can tend to start tasting all the same, it was good. Omelette at breakfast buffet was quick and delicious. Ramen dish at Asian restaurant was great. “Saucy rice” and lobster great at steakhouse was delicious. Team members were ready to be friendly but I had to initiate the conversation or interaction. Room service staff was friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Room size and closet were good. Never ran out of sun space or chairs. In room bar was appreciated.
