When I first pulled up to Pink Sands Point estate, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this four-star property tucked away in Governorʼs Harbour. The name had me picturing something overly cutesy, but you know what? The reality is so much better. This place has this understated elegance that feels authentically Bahamian — not like those cookie-cutter resorts you see everywhere. The estate sits right on one of those postcard-perfect pink sand beaches that the Bahamas is famous for, and the moment you step out of your car (which you can park right on-site for free, by the way), you get hit with that perfect mix of ocean breeze and tropical warmth.

The Setting

Governorʼs Harbour is actually one of my favorite spots in Eleuthera — it’s got this laid-back vibe that’s hard to find these days. The estate takes full advantage of its location, perched where you can watch both sunrise and sunset depending on which side of the property you’re on. I mean, Eleuthera is narrow enough that you’re never far from either coast, but Pink Sands Point really maximizes this geography. The grounds feel spacious without being overwhelming, and there’s this sense of privacy that couples absolutely love — I can see why the feedback consistently mentions how perfect it is for romantic getaways.

Accommodations That Actually Work

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of comfort and island style. Nothing felt forced or themed to death — just clean lines, quality furnishings, and those little touches that show someone actually thought about how guests would use the space. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in the Caribbean.
