Overview

First Impressions

Honestly, Personal Touch 1 caught me off guard in the best way possible. I mean, the name doesn’t exactly scream “tropical getaway,” but once you’re actually here in Nassau, you get it — this place really does feel personal. It’s tucked away in St Andrews Beach Estates, which is sort of this quiet residential area that most tourists never stumble upon. The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

Location & What Makes It Special

The location thing is real — recent guests aren’t just being polite when they rave about it. You’re close enough to Nassau’s action but far enough away that you actually hear waves instead of traffic. St Andrews Beach Estates has this laid-back vibe that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel. I noticed couples seem to gravitate here, and honestly, I can see why. There’s something about the quieter setting that just works for romantic getaways — you’re not fighting crowds for a decent sunset spot.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything worked properly (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in the Bahamas). What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — fresh towels that actually smelled good, decent water pressure, and air conditioning that didn’t sound like a freight train. The furnishings are simple but thoughtful, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling cramped. You get the sense that someone actually cares about your stay rather than just processing you through.

The Neighborhood Vibe

Walking around St Andrews Beach Estates, you’ll notice it’s mostly locals and long-term visitors rather than cruise ship crowds. There’s a small local restaurant about a ten-minute walk away that serves conch fritters that’ll ruin you for anywhere else — the kind of place you’d never find without staying in this area. The beach access is the real winner though. It’s not private exactly, but it’s quiet enough that you can actually relax without someone trying to sell you jet ski rentals every five minutes.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.9 rating makes sense once you’ve been here a few days. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — no pretentious lobby or overpriced cocktails. Instead, you get solid value, a genuinely peaceful setting, and staff who seem to remember your name after day one. The couples who keep rating this place highly aren’t wrong — there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on the basics done well rather than flashy amenities you’ll never use. If you’re looking for a Nassau experience that feels more authentic and less touristy, this spot delivers without breaking the bank.

Diana is a perfect host. She welcomed us as part of her family. She was always available to help with any question, providing anything we needed in the house and advising places to go and to visit. She even gave us a ride to some of them.
She made our stay in Nassau memorable, despite we found miserable weather.
The property is in a quiet neighbourhood, far from cruise ship crowd, close to the bus stop to reach downtown with public transport (30 mins with bus #15 or #11) , walking distance from a beautiful beach, 3 mins walk from a big supermarket.
