Here’s what I love about where this place sits — you’re on West Bay Street, which means you’re literally a few minutes from Cable Beach and all those bigger resorts, but you’re not paying resort prices or dealing with resort crowds. I mean, couples seem to get this because they consistently rate the location around 8.9, and I can see why. You can walk to decent restaurant, catch a jitney into downtown Nassau pretty easily, or just head to the beach without the whole production of getting through hotel security and finding a chair that costs more than your dinner.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which you know isn’t always a given at this price point in the Caribbean. The air conditioning actually kept up with the heat (crucial), and the bed was surprisingly decent. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or fancy toiletries, but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Nassau or lounging on the beach, do you really need all that? The Wi-Fi was solid enough for checking maps and staying in touch, though I wouldn’t plan on streaming movies or anything.

When I asked about getting to Paradise Island without paying tourist prices, they gave me specific bus routes and timing that saved me probably fifty bucks. It’s that kind of insider knowledge that you just don’t get at the big chain hotels.

Look, this isn’t a place for people who need a spa day or room service — there’s no restaurant on site, and you won’t find a concierge in a fancy uniform. But if you want a clean, safe base for exploring Nassau without breaking the bank, it really delivers.   It is a wonderful location close to the airport as well as downtown Nassau. It has a beautiful pool area as well as views over the Ocean. The restaurant service dinner as well as breakfast. The room we had will be great for when we come to Nassau for a week as it has a self catering option.

  It was a very friendly environment – the staff were welcoming, there was everything you needed onsite including a fridge where you could take your own drinks throughout the day and use a tally to keep track. The pool area was lovely and private, the property was just across the road from a lovely beach, and the onsite restaurant provided delicious and affordable meals. I felt safe and comfortable here as a solo female traveller for a few days. I would go back if I am ever in Nassau ☺️

  I really liked the location of the hotel, close to the airport and the beach – you can hear the waves break at the beach but you are not bothered a lot by sounds coming from the road or the airport. The setting is very enjoyable. The staff was very welcoming and accommodated my request for a late checkout.
