You’re positioned right where you can explore both Bailey Town and the surrounding settlements without feeling stuck in a tourist bubble. What I loved most was having free private parking right on site (trust me, that’s not always a given in the Bahamas), which made it easy to venture out and discover hidden beaches that locals told me about. Now, this isn’t a massive resort with endless activities, but what they do have is pretty solid. The game room became my evening hangout spot — there’s a pool table that gets surprisingly competitive after dinner, and I mean that in the best way possible. The fishing opportunities here are what really set this place apart though. The staff can point you toward some incredible spots, and honestly, even if you’re not usually into fishing, the boat rides alone are worth it. It’s that kind of place where you end up doing things you never thought you’d enjoy.

The Experience

What surprised me most was how well everything just worked together. The 9.5 rating this place has earned makes total sense once you’ve been there — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. The restaurant serves up fresh local seafood that actually tastes like it was caught that morning (because it probably was), and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. I found myself lingering over meals longer than usual, partly because the food was good, but mostly because there was just no rush to be anywhere else.
